Sabbath Sermon Experience 6-27-2026

This powerful message takes us into the heart of one of Scripture's most dramatic moments: the fall of Jericho. But rather than focusing solely on walls tumbling down, we're invited to consider something far more profound - the impossible made possible through faith and immediate obedience. The story centers on Rahab, a woman living in a city that had locked itself away from God, literally and spiritually. Jericho's massive walls kept enemies out, but they also kept God's truth from penetrating hearts. Yet somehow, information about Israel's God reached Rahab. She heard about the parting of the Red Sea, the victories God had given His people, and she believed. While the entire city trembled in fear and chose to fortify their walls rather than open their hearts, Rahab acted on what she heard. The message challenges us with a penetrating question from Hebrews 2: How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? We're confronted with the reality that hearing God's Word isn't enough - we must respond immediately, lest the truth slip away from us like a boat drifting without anchor. Rahab's salvation came because she didn't negotiate, process, or delay. She acted. Her story reminds us that no situation is too impossible for God, no walls too thick, and no past too broken. When God speaks, our response must be immediate and complete.
