Sabbath Sermon Experience 5-2-2026

The Valley of Dry Bones in Ezekiel 37 reveals one of Scripture's most powerful messages about God's relentless love and transforming power. We find God's people in Babylon, displaced and despondent, convinced their spiritual condition is beyond repair. They declare themselves dried up, cut off, without hope. Yet this is precisely where God meets them with a stunning demonstration of resurrection power. Through a vision of lifeless bones coming together, receiving sinews and flesh, and finally breath from the four winds, God shows that no situation is too dead for His intervention. What strikes us most is the patience and tenderness God displays toward His rebellious people. Even as He calls them stubborn and hard-hearted, He simultaneously promises restoration. The message transcends the historical moment and speaks directly to our own experiences of spiritual deadness, discouragement, and defeat. When we feel our hope is lost and our spiritual bones are dried up, God asks the same question He posed to Ezekiel: Can these bones live? The answer reverberates through the centuries: Yes, because God specializes in bringing life from death, hope from despair, and purpose from purposelessness. This passage reminds us that God's love follows us wherever we go, even into our self-made exiles, and that His Spirit can breathe new life into the most hopeless circumstances.
