Sabbath Sermon Experience 8-29-2026

Aug 29, 2026    Elder Gary Williams

What does it mean to be the salt of the earth in a world that is slowly losing its taste for the gospel? This message takes us on a journey through one of the most pressing questions facing the church today: how do we hold on to the next generation while staying true to the heart of what Christianity is all about? At the core of this talk is a beautifully simple truth drawn from the words of Jesus himself, who taught that the greatest commandment is love, love for God and love for the people around us. When we strip away all the complexity we have added to faith over the years, what remains is a gospel that is meant to flow naturally, like water finding its way through every crack and corner of human need. We are challenged to examine whether our lives genuinely reflect that kind of love, or whether we have allowed rules and traditions to crowd out the very grace that drew us to Christ in the first place. The call is not to water down our convictions, but to lead with relationship, with intentionality, and with the kind of warmth that makes people feel they belong before they ever feel they must behave.
